Hi Sylvia, aww thank you, glad you like him/her. :D Safya did seem to enjoy the music for now: she’s growing up in a very musically inclined family. Well, I didn’t expect for it to be this size frankly, lol but even with the smallest wooden box for the musical movement, I had to put enough padding to soften the corners etc, so I had to accommodate. Heehee, I can’t see the picture, but pretty sure I know what you’re refering to... ;D Thanks very much for your comment Sylvia, I very much appreciate it, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie xxx

ALL the pictures are beautiful and that bear is exquisite ......he is just absolutely gorgeous and definitely one little bear you just want to hug !!! :)   Certain he will take pride of place in Safya's bedroom as well as in her heart Sylvie.   Glad too that you did get picture taken holding for, as you say, it gives you the true size of the bear and he sure ain't very small, in fact, that is a fair sized bear !!! lol  He is gorgeous and thanks so much for sharing him with us Sylvie....thanks !!! :)   Have to add that like something else which is in picture, off to the left...LOL

Sylvia.  Your wee Scottish friend.

Hi again all, here's the last picture. My son thought it would look nice to take the picture of me and the bear on the rocking chair I've mentioned in my previous post . Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie <3

Hi everyone, well here I come to share my latest creation and first time experiment. I made a musical teddy bear for my granddaughter. I made it from lilac colored fake fur I had covered rocking chair cushions with. Since I was making it for my granddaughter, I wanted it to be washable, so I had to figure out a way to remove the music box and I did. So I'll post 3 pics of the bear and in my next post, one of myself with the bear so you have a better perspective of its size. It's a little weird spending so much time making something and then giving it away, although it seems to be more the rule than the exception  lately... :D Anyway, enjoy! Take care and thanks for your interest. Hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie <3

P.S.: BTW, it plays the Elvis song "Teddy bear". :D

Hi Thida, good to hear from you sweetie! I’m glad you like the cottage, I put so much work into it... :D I’m working on another music box right now and have to finish it in about a month: it’s for my grandbaby-to-be! :D Thank you for your comment and keeping an eye on my blog Thida, I appreciate it. :D I hope you’re doing well and having a nice summer, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie <3

Hi everyone,  today I'm uploading a picture I thought I'd lost, but found on my computer. It's good to  clean up! :D This is one of my very early music boxes and I'd made this one for my middle sister. She's not much for fancy girly stuff, so I thought I'd make her a treasure chest, in some of her favorite colors and I weaved the fabric on that one. It plays the Beatles' "Michelle" because that's her middle name. Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie <3

Hi ladies, thank you both for your comments, I really appreciate them. :D Ah come on, I have 4 kids, I know who the Smurfs are and my favorite is Clumsy! lol  Don't they live in mushroom houses though? :D When I was looking for an Irish theme for "Galway Bay", Amie suggested a stone cottage, I did a little research and figured out the thatch roof, so that was fun. Thanks again ladies, glad you like it. Take care. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie <3
